Bringing Home Miho Tsujinaka Reverse Bunny Ver.

The figure in hand is Rocket Boy’s Miho Tsujinaka Reverse Bunny Ver., from Danimaru’s original character, in 1/6 scale. Sculpted by Gebobo, painted by Kimura, from an illustration by Danimaru; about 310 mm tall to the top of the head.

The reverse bunny outfit comes from artwork Danimaru drew specially for this figure. The open collar, the ties at the hip, the band around the thigh — all of it was worked out again from that new illustration, and it reads rather differently from the way the character usually appears.

Review

The skin is pale and clean, and the reverse bunny outfit has a pull of its own — the dark bodysuit and gloves, the tights and the band on the thigh, all setting off the line of the body just as much as they need to. The bust is generous, the areolae a pale pink with inverted nipples, and the paint holds together at close range. The hair is red with a little translucency to it, the strands clearly layered; catch the light at the right angle and the material turns through.

The dark green bottle she carries has that same translucency, a pink ribbon tied at the neck and a heart-shaped label with a rabbit motif on the body. The drink in the glass beside it answers the translucent color of her hair.

What is a shame is that the whole arrangement is a little plain. Apart from the figure herself, the only thing that comes with her is that bar stool, and it is fixed in place — it cannot be taken off or swapped out. There is nothing else to vary the display with.

The base is red velvet, picking up the red of the stool, and it is sized sensibly; on a shelf it takes up no more room than it needs.

Verdict

On the care of the sculpt and the paint there is nothing to fault: the pale skin, the pale pink nipples with their inverted detail, the translucency in the hair. What is a shame is that there is nothing else to play with.
