Super Sonico Transformed Into a Gorgeous Japanese Doll — Yoshitoku x F:NEX Collaboration
Super Sonico, Nitroplus’s beloved live mascot character, has been transformed into an elegant and graceful Japanese doll figure through a collaboration with century-old doll maker Yoshitoku.
Her head is adorned with lavish ornaments including combs and kanzashi hairpins, while her kimono is crafted from a red-based kinran brocade woven with gold thread and a variety of floral patterns. The brocade itself was produced by Kyoto’s renowned textile house Bandoshoten, prized for its brightness, luster, and texture.
She holds a shamisen and plectrum in her hands, a fitting match for her identity as a musician, resulting in a truly exquisite piece. Following the concept that “a doll’s face is everything, for both figures and traditional Japanese dolls alike,” meticulous care was taken in sculpting her tilted head and gentle, beautiful smile.
The figure was released in January 2025 and is currently on sale at AmiAmi.com.
